Summary of the Job:
The primary focus of the Associate I ECM - Investment Banker is to play a critical role in supporting the execution of transactions and client engagements across both the Capital Markets and M&A verticals within a dynamic middle-market investment bank. This role requires strong financial modeling capabilities deal execution experience and the ability to manage multiple workstreams across capital raising and advisory mandates.About This Role:

Capital Markets
Support origination and execution of debt and equity capital markets transactions including public offerings and private placements. Prepare and review offering memoranda investor presentations term sheets and due diligence materials. Conduct market analysis public market comps and investor cross-holding analysis. Liaise with internal capital markets and institutional sales team legal counsel operations and compliance to coordinate transaction execution.
Mergers & Acquisitions
Assist in the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions including preparing pitch books information memoranda management presentations and valuation materials. Perform in-depth company and industry research and due diligence. Develop and maintain complex financial models for valuation purposes including DCF LBO comparable company and precedent transaction analyses. Manage the due diligence process and coordinate with internal teams to help manage clients buyers/sellers and third-party advisors.
General Responsibilities
Coordinate and review the work of analysts and interns on deal teams. Maintain internal databases and transaction tracking tools. Ensure quality control of client deliverables and adherence to timelines. Contribute to thought leadership and business development efforts including industry research and pitch preparation.
Additional Duties
Employee is responsible for additional job duties as maybe assigned by the Co-Heads of Investment Banking and the Company.
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook
Proficiency with Capital IQ and Pitchbook
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
Develops and maintains internal and external relationships.
Demonstrate strong work ethic and commitment to team atmosphere.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail.
IV. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BA/BS degree required.
*****2-3 years of relevant investment banking capital markets or private equity experience ********
FINRA SIE 7 63 and Series 79 License (or equivalent registrations) or commitment in offer letter to complete the required registrations within 180 days.
Strong technical skills in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
SALARY NOTE:
The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $80000-$200000 per year depending upon level of experience location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation.
Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.Work Environment:
