Job Description

Job Summary: Jim Falk Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat in Kahului, Hawaii is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for performing vehicle repairs and maintenance services ranging from basic oil changes to advanced engine diagnostics and repairs. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Benefits: The compensation for this role is $18 to $35 per hour, paid biweekly. Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical problems
  • Use diagnostic equipment to accurately identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues
  • Keep detailed records of all services and repairs performed on vehicles
  • Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle maintenance and repair recommendations and updates
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations
  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and techniques through trainings and courses
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as an Automotive Technician is required
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification from an automotive school is a plus
  • Strong technical and mechanical skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
