Job Description

Good fiscal accountability, accurate daily expenses, and income management are essential to responsible and good business decisions. As the Aviation Business Manager, you will provide oversight of the JAARS Aviation department finances and insurance. As such, each division of the aviation department will be able to contribute towards the goals of JAARS, “Easing burdens, reducing barriers, and delivering God’s Word.”

Position Responsibilities

• Enter and cross-check journal entries
• Process travel reports and cash reimbursements
• Process invoice payment requisitions
• Ensure that aviation department accounts are maintained properly and account information is reported accurately to the accounting department.
• Manage aviation-related fleet and airport insurance.
• Respond to inquiries regarding Aviation financial and business matters.
• Prepare finance and business-related reports when needed.
• Create and monitor department budgets to ensure spending is within budget.

Position Requirements

• Demonstrate a deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
• Embrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS, and help us live them effectively
• Associate degree or higher desired
• Knowledge of financial practices or experience with financial software
• Knowledge of NetSuite Enterprise Systems and Google Workspace desired
• Knowledge of aviation is preferred
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to investigate and scrutinize data
