Box Truck Driver / Installer
The individual would be responsible for driving a 26 ft. box truck throughout the Massachusetts area. Driver must be comfortable driving in city, as many of our destinations involve Boston / Cambridge area.
General jobs include picking up electronic equipment ( mainly lab equipment), delivering equipment, and loading and unloading truck. We install and de-install certain equipment. Most installs mainly include basic hand tools and can be learned quickly. Most days are on the road. Some days we have work being done at the warehouse.
Driver must have at least 1 year box truck driving experience and a valid drivers license.
Our standard hours are 7:30 - 4:00. With much of our work in the Boston area, we sometimes begin earlier. Depending on season, we usually work about 40 - 45 hours per week. It is rare that we work past 4:30.
Once individual has been with the company 3 - 6 months, the begin accruing PTO.
Pay increases and bonus are based on performance. Since most of our work is repeat, your ability to learn the routes, installs, and system will facilitate higher pay and bonuses.
