Position Overview and Responsibilities:

This Computer Operator I position is responsible for ensuring accurate data management, maintaining organized records, and supporting effective documentation practices. It includes retrieving information, training staff on file systems, overseeing database records, and processing electronic documentation to support operational needs.

  • Provides and maintains a high degree of accuracy in data entry, filing information, and maintaining documentation.
  • Conducts data searches and retrieves information from files as required by supervisor.
  • Provides training to all staff members on the use and maintenance of the file system.
  • Approve and Disapprove records in the database.
  • Process Cherwell and Oculus Waste Tickets associated with the monitoring and control of electronic documentation.
  • Performs related duties as required.

 

 

Re quired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of the electronic filing systems
  • Knowledge of personal computer
  • Knowledge of databases
  • Knowledge of general offices practices
  • Skill in typing or use of keyboard-controlled data input devices
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to sort data alphabetically, numerically, and categorically
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and work with limited supervision

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least six months of verifiable related experience.
  • Valid Driver License
  • Must be a curret DEP employee.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

 

 

Position of Special Trust Requirement:

This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.

Annual Salary Range: $34,760.00 - $36,000.00 (commensurate with experience)
