Description

Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto is a 339-bed acute care hospital located in Southaven, Mississippi. Their highly skilled and experienced doctors, nurses and staff provide a wide range of health care services, including ancillary, cancer, emergency and surgical, heart, neurology, women’s and children’s services, and more. Baptist-DeSoto was the first hospital in DeSoto County to offer open-heart surgery.

Team Highlights

Highly autonomous environment. CRNAs are encouraged to practice at the top of their license. The anesthesia team provides a collaborative work environment where CRNAs, MDs, and the surgical team share strong, respectful relationships—led by inspiring and supportive leadership.

Currently our care team model includes approximately 3 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs, who have created a cohesive group.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

• Salary: $200k-225k
