Job Summary:

As trusted advisors, Joseph A. DeLuca Advisory & Consulting Services LLC (“DeLuca Advisory Services”) uses auditing, investigations, data and operational analysis to help solve our clients’ most complex problems.

DeLuca Advisory Services is a boutique consulting firm that currently has just over 20 full-time staff. Since its founding in 2019, the firm has experienced steady growth in clients, revenue and staff. Most of DeLuca Advisory Services’ work is with public sector agencies and many of DeLuca Advisory Services’ staff have experience in working in the public sector. In addition to the work being done in Philadelphia, DeLuca Advisory Services also has led other compliance engagements, acted as an independent monitor of government contractors and performed investigations and forensic audits. DeLuca Advisory Services’ leaders are an experienced group of professionals that have frequently worked with one another throughout their careers.

DeLuca Advisory Services is looking for an analyst to join its team in Philadelphia. Analysts are vital to our work and participate in nearly every client engagement. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Environmental Data Analyst to join our team. As an Environmental Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting environmental data to support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis and proficiency in relevant software tools. Experience/familiarity with environmental science, due diligence, research and investigations, building-related environmental hazards, regulatory compliance, and the construction industry is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection and Management:

- Gather environmental data from various sources, including field reports and various databases and platforms.

- Organize, clean, and maintain large datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability.

2. Research and Data Analysis:

- Apply statistical and quantitative analysis techniques to interpret environmental data.

- Identify patterns, trends, and correlations to draw meaningful insights.

3. Reporting and Visualization:

- Prepare comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Create maps, charts, and graphs to present data in a clear and accessible manner.

4. Collaboration:

- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including project managers, environmental scientists, client leadership, and policymakers.

- Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making processes.

5. Quality Assurance:

- Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity and reliability of environmental data.

- Stay updated on advancements in data analysis techniques and environmental science.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, statistics, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirements on a case-by-case basis.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical analysis tools/software.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with various stakeholders and conflicting priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and demonstrate thoroughness, objectivity, and precision in research and reporting.
  • Ability to contextualize and analyze complex and potentially unfamiliar topics.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a group.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Effectively manages time and prioritizes multiple projects to meet deadlines, with flexibility to adjust schedule and respond to urgent, time-sensitive requests.
  • Experience interacting with corporate, legal, and/or government clients is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and industry standards is a plus.

Salary commensurate with experience. DeLuca offers a comprehensive benefits package. This includes health insurance coverage with employer paying portion of selected plan, vision and dental insurance coverage, unlimited paid time off (with manager’s approval), and opportunity to participate in 401k, Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Account and other programs offered through payroll provider. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for annual performance-based bonuses. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
