Experienced Caregiver Needed - Litchfield, CT Do you love to cook? Come show off your skills! Personal care for a female client in Litchfield, CT Monday through Friday 9 am - 2 pm *Suggested schedule, some flexibility with schedule depending on caregiver's availability. The founders of Preferred Care at Home have made a difference in the lives of seniors throughout the country for over 40 years. This position includes Companion Care, Personal Care and Cooking. We are looking for experienced, compassionate individuals to provide non-medical care to seniors in their homes. Responsibilities:

• Assist with meal planning and cooking for family
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dishes
• Provide medication reminders, monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate parties
• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of client

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a caregiver, preferably in a home care setting
• Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
• Knowledge of basic caregiver skills and techniques (ADLs and IADLs)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, reliable and able to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism
• Perform physical tasks such as bending and/or standing for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and some holidays
