Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy‑duty trucks and related fleet equipment. This role ensures safe, reliable operations by completing high‑quality service work in alignment with DOT and company standards.

Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance

Work Schedule: 2:00PM–12:00AM

Compensation: $24–$28/hr. + $2.00/hr. shift differential

Location: Medora, IN (Candidates should reside within commuting distance or be willing to self‑relocate)

Responsibilities:

• Test drives and occasional roadside repairs to verify performance and support fleet uptime.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs based on maintenance plans and DVIRs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Accurately complete work orders, time entries, and parts usage in electronic and/or paper systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment aligned with company and DOT safety standards.
• Repair or replace components including brakes, air systems, electrical systems, fluids, filters, and related parts.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Own required tools for the role.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification prior to start.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately (electronic and paper)
• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, communication skills, and commitment to safety.
• All education levels considered; equivalent practical experience fully acceptab.
• 2+ years of hands‑on Diesel Mechanic experience working on heavy trucks or diesel‑powered fleet vehicles.
