Job Description

A sophisticated, results-driven law firm is seeking to add a Legal Secretary to their team. This firm has always been remote and you can live anywhere in California, the firm operates on Pacific Coast Time.

Requirements:

* E-Filing and Court Procedures - Knowledge of federal and state court systems (CA), including electronic filing protocols; familiar with CA state court and federal court rules for formatting and filing.

* Calendaring - experienced in working with litigation calendaring systems

* Drafting and Proofreading - Assist in preparing pleadings, discovery and correspondence

* Legal Research and Writing - Ability to carry out basic research and write

* Case and Document Management - Organize case files, managing document productions, and track deadlines/ calendaring

* Discovery Process - Assist in preparing, reviewing, and managing discovery requests, responses, and productions

* Attention to Detail - Adept at reviewing legal documents and ensuring compliance with deadlines and formatting.

* Project Management - Ability to juggle multiple cases or projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively.

* Key traits: organized, conscientious, team player, tech savvy (i.e. familiarity with legal software), strong communicator and personable

* Labor and Employment experience an added plus!

Compensation depends on level of experience and may be different than the pay range indicated here.
