The Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking a Medical Receptionist to support the administrative health care services offered through the clinic, including physical, mental, and health promotion services. This position functions within a fast paced office environment requiring compassion, confidentiality, and support of all students served through the SHCC.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills adhering to federal HIPAA guidelines Ability to schedule appointments for health care related student needs. Desire and ability to work in a medical team environment; seeking assistance without hesitation. Ability to operate multi-line telephone line, computer programs, fax, scan and copy machines. Knowledge of Word, and Excel, Google and computer programs. Able to complete duties as assigned. To thrive in this role a successful applicant should have medical office setting experience and understanding of computer software programs. Ability to listen and respond to the needs of others. Ability to prioritize work load and multi-task. Minimum Qualifications Duties require customer service experience. Medical office experience preferred and medical billing helpful. Position Details This is a part-time, temporary staff position. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 75, based on education and experience.
