POSITION – Powder Coat Line Worker
JOB LOCATION – Eau Claire, Wisconsin
STARTING DATE – Immediate
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift (6:00am – 4:30pm, Mon-Thurs. Could have OT Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm)
STARTING PAY – $18 per hour
REQUIRED EDUCATION – HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Previous manufacturing experience preferred with knowledge of industrial painting or powder coating process
As a Powder Coat Line Worker, you will prepare, visually inspect, and clean parts for coating prior to the start of the painting process. You will work with team to ensure that parts have been properly masked, taped, and plugged prior to the process.You will hang and remove parts before and after the powder coat process. You will also palletize completed parts when finished.
Responsibilities:
- Load/Unload parts from track system including mostly overhead work hanging parts on or taking parts off the line.
- Operate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection system
- Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects
- Cure parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations
- Check product for flaws, bubbles or imperfections
- Proper cleaning and maintenance of booth and equipment
- Analysis and adjustment of wash system chemicals
- Maintain proper inventory of paint and chemicals
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail is necessary
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with consistent repeating of tasks
- Ability to work individually or within a team based setting
- Ability to lift 20-40 pounds consistently, often overhead
- Ability to work in a non-air conditioned manufacturing environment
- Able to read blueprints or engineering drawings
