Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Powder Coat Painter Lead to ensure the highest standards in painting and coating applications. The role requires maintaining spray guns and equipment, cleaning booths between color changes to prevent cross-contamination, spraying wash parts prior to applying powder, and visually inspecting all products entering the paint system to ensure proper preparation.

• Maintain spray guns and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Clean booths between color changes to prevent cross-contamination.
• Spray wash parts prior to applying powder coat.
• Visually inspect all products entering the paint system to ensure proper preparation.
• Apply powder paint according to industry standards and customer specifications.
• Ensure consistent mil thicknesses on varying products.
• Maintain the daily schedule to ensure smooth flow into the packaging department.
• Monitor bake oven operations and timing to ensure proper curing.

• Proficiency in painting and powder coating techniques.
• Experience with industrial spray guns and paint preparation.
• Production supervision skills with at least 5 years of powder coat painting experience.
• Knowledge of racking and spray painting processes.

• Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.

The facility offers a clean and organized shop with a relaxed atmosphere. Work schedules include 1st shift from 6:30 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday, and 2nd shift with four 10-hour days from 3 pm to 1:30 am. Optional overtime is available, and when fully staffed, the department includes 12 welders among the 75 employees, including office staff.

This is a Permanent position based out of Waunakee, WI.

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
