Job Summary

We are looking for a Community Nurse Educator for our Pediatric Diabetes Center team at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This is a full-time day shift position. As a Community Nurse Educator your duties include but are not limited to:

• Provides education for the children diagnosed with diabetes and their families both on an inpatient and an outpatient basis.
• Provide patient education on an outpatient basis as needed when seen in clinic.
• Support the Endocrinologists in clinic visits with patients and families ensure the family is comfortable with the child's meter.
• Educators attend community events as needed to promote the Diabates Center, coordinate with school nurses to ensure they are educated in Diabetes management and serves as a community resource for education and training.

Experience Requirements:

• 3-5 Years Experience working with children with diabetes

Education & Credential Requirements: 

• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required Or
• Licensed Dietitian Required Or
