Job Description

Our Total Loss Claim Adjusters are responsible for negotiating and settling vehicular total loss claims.  The Total Loss Claim Adjuster evaluates and negotiates total loss settlements on a timely basis, document files in accordance to best practices and coordinates salvage recoveries.

You will work closely with other team members to ensure that we provide superior service and industry expertise.

This position may be remote based. 

Core Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate with vehicle owners regarding the claim process.
  • Evaluate loss, vehicle damage, determine Actual Cash Value and settlement amounts.  Ensure compliance with policy terms and state regulations.
  • Determine Actual Cash Value (ACV
  • Negotiate settlement terms.
  • Manage salvage valuation. Coordinate the transfer of total loss vehicles to salvage vendors to maximize recovery.
  • Process transfer of titles. Maintain detailed, accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Manage Disposals of wreckage.
  • Manage Total Loss expenses.
  • Identify potential third-party liability to recover costs.
  • Maintain a diary system on pending files.
  • Effectively prioritize work.
  Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficient is the usage of Microsoft Office, claims management software and vehicle valuation tools.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate claim settlements while managing costs.
  • Familiarity with state insurance regulations.
  • Maintain detailed claim files and ensure all actions follow State Fair Claims Practices Acts and other regulatory standards.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of insurance policies and industry regulations.
  • Strong data analysis and report-writing skills for accurate, detailed documentation.
  • Valid Adjusters Licensing - Multiple States Preferred
