TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN – Orthopedics for travel assignments . This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. The ideal candidate has strong assessment skills, experience in post-surgical care, and knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation .
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint replacements, and spinal injuries.
- Monitor post-surgical recovery , manage pain, and prevent complications.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care .
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and rehabilitation teams .
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care, mobility, and rehabilitation exercises .
- Assist with casts, traction, braces, and mobility aids .
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments .
Qualifications
- Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license .
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in an orthopedic, med-surg, or rehab setting .
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred.
- Skills: Strong pain management, wound care, and mobility assistance skills .
- Physical Requirements: Ability to assist with patient transfers, lifting, and mobility support .
- Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments .
