Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise networking, data center infrastructure, and hybrid cloud connectivity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switching, enterprise firewalls (Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto), and Azure networking services such as ExpressRoute . This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable, and highly available network environments across on-premises data centers and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Design & Implementation

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise data center network infrastructure , including switching, routing, and segmentation.

• Configure and manage Cisco Nexus switches supporting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, vPC, STP, and high availability architectures .

• Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF to ensure stable and optimized network traffic.

Firewall & Network Security

• Manage and administer Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto firewalls , including:

  • Security policy configuration

  • NAT setup

  • VPN connectivity

  • Traffic inspection and monitoring

• Ensure proper network segmentation, access controls, and infrastructure-level security .

Hybrid Cloud Connectivity

• Configure and maintain hybrid connectivity between on-premise data centers and Microsoft Azure .

• Implement and support Azure Virtual Networks and Azure ExpressRoute connectivity.

• Support secure and reliable communication between cloud workloads and enterprise data centers .

Troubleshooting & Network Operations

• Diagnose and resolve complex network, firewall, and cloud connectivity issues affecting servers, applications, and database systems.

• Perform traffic path analysis, routing validation, and firewall log analysis during production incidents.

• Conduct root cause analysis for network outages or performance issues.

Monitoring & Performance Optimization

• Monitor network performance and availability using network monitoring and observability tools .

• Ensure high availability and minimal downtime for enterprise network services.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and system engineering teams to maintain stable enterprise IT operations.

• Support critical infrastructure services including SQL database connectivity, backup routing, and application traffic flows .

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise networking and network engineering .

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switching platforms .

• Deep understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts including VLANs, trunking, routing, and segmentation.

• Experience with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF .

• Hands-on experience managing Fortinet FortiGate and Palo Alto firewalls .

• Experience supporting Azure networking services including Virtual Networks and ExpressRoute .

• Strong troubleshooting experience in hybrid environments (on-premise + Azure cloud) .

• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure networks and application connectivity .

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data center high availability architectures and redundancy design .

• Knowledge of network monitoring and observability tools .

• Understanding of enterprise security best practices and network segmentation strategies .

• Experience supporting critical enterprise systems including database and backup traffic routing .
